COVID-19 - TJL Statement from the Board of Directors 24 March 2020
As a result of the continuing spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the UK, the Government took the decision on 23 March 2020 to further strengthen their policy of social separation. This was compounded by the categoric advice from both the Prime Minister and the First Minister that people should not go out and must stay at home, save only where they are engaged in what are deemed to be “essential” tasks.
This has had a devastating effect on the Construction Sector and its associated supply chain and as such has significantly affected our ability to safely manage and operate our current construction sites.
We have therefore been left with no option at this time but to close our construction sites. We intend to keep this under review given the fluid nature of the situation and will update you further as and when there is a substantive change in circumstances.
We trust you understand and appreciate that these are unprecedented times and Thomas Johnstone Ltd will continue to put the Health and Safety of their employees, supply chain partners and clients first, during this ongoing crisis.
