This £14.5m BAM project saw the construction of a new town hall, home to a range of modern community facilities including Johnstone library, a theatre space, ceremony suite, conference space, a coffee shop and meeting spaces.
We became involved as a sub-contractor, with our in-house design development team helping to develop various items before their manufacture within our factory.
The project involved the manufacture and installation of a series of bespoke joinery components. This range of items and furniture were create for the building in our own factory and later installed by our site team. The bespoke pieces included a reception desk, various bars, kitchen areas, seating areas, locker shrouds, wall panelling and a media wall.
Further to completion, the brand new town hall won a coveted national award designed to honour Scotland’s best buildings – beating tough competition and taking home Project of the Year at the 2016 Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Awards.
