After more than a decade of undertaking high quality projects at the Blythswood Square Hotel, we returned to the ground floor F&B space to transform it into the exquisite Bo & Birdy.
The new 146 cover restaurant is a modern and chic bar and eatery with a relaxed brasserie feel. Elegance emanates throughout the space, with high quality manufactured joinery and finishes and earthy tones woven through the décor to complement the ‘farm to fabulous’ manifesto. A new island bar and gantry is nestled in the restaurant, painstakingly finished with green fish scale tiles and crowned with a marble bar top. The tables and seating are finished in a mix of marble, wood and leather, and feature lighting finishes the space.
To enable the restaurant transformation we undertook a programme of downtakings and alterations, stripping everything including the existing bar and gantry, timber flooring, wall cladding and furniture. 6No windows were removed from site, refurbished and reinstated. New features were either manufactured or coordinated by us including the feature bar and gantry, an extensive product wall, service stations and a wine station. There were multiple shapes of dining tables placed and various booth seating designs installed to give different options whether guests are having dinner or just drinks.
With designs and specifications by renowned design studio Graven Images, it was a given that this project would deliver a stunning yet functional F&B space. The client was delighted with our work and the restaurant and bar opened to excellent reviews.
