This complex project, which though challenging was brought to a successful completion by our Project Manager, involved our team carrying out structural alterations to the building as well as refurbishing the interior.

The building – which occupies a prime location at 127 George Street – was previously an office block. Further to the completion of our works the building is now home to high quality serviced apartments with 72No bedrooms. A modern reception and lounge area have also been created.

The works involved replacing the existing curtain walling with a new Metsec / SFS wall and render. The works package also included the installation of new M&E services throughout the building. In addition, a newly established substation has been formed within the basement area.

The teams within our different divisions worked closely throughout this project to ensure the successful delivery of the works. Construction was completed and then our joinery and decorating teams added the finishing touches to the interior. Our project management team undertook a comprehensive snagging process to ensure that we handed over the building in pristine condition with zero defects.

Due to the location of the building on a very busy street with residential dwellings and live businesses, and the extensive nature of the works (which were undertaken over a period of 52 weeks), we liaised regularly with local residents and businesses to ensure minimal disruption during our time on site.
