Thomas Johnstone Ltd (TJL) has been appointed as the main contractor for restoring and transforming the historic North Rotunda on Glasgow’s Clydeside. Led by the Forrest Group, the project will convert the landmark building into a major music and events destination. It will create new performance, dining, and flexible event spaces while carefully preserving its distinctive heritage features.
The Forrest Group acquired the Rotunda in mid-2023 and is investing approximately £15 million to reimagine the building across three levels. This investment highlights the building’s importance to Glasgow’s cultural and architectural heritage. The restoration balances heritage preservation with contemporary enhancements, ensuring the Rotunda will remain a vibrant cultural destination for future generations.
