Dundonald Links’ Fantastic New Clubhouse Officially Opens
The new facilities at Dundonald Links officially opened to the public yesterday and we are excited to share these internal images our Marketing team took while on a tour of the club’s stunning new clubhouse. The contemporary 19th hole has nods to the club’s heritage throughout and is fully equipped with a new restaurant and bar, whisky tasting room, pro shop and outdoor terrace offering stunning panoramic views of the course and over the Firth of Clyde to Arran.
Thomas Johnstone Ltd were delighted to be engaged as the principal contractor for the £25m site wide development at the start of 2020. Our works on site included the construction of the new clubhouse with bar and restaurant; the installation of 18 new luxury lodges and 22 hotel rooms which were fabricated off site; an extension of the Facilities Management support building, reconfiguration of the entrance, new roads and pavements, hard and soft landscaping and a full site wide installation of water, gas and electricity.
Many of the bespoke items throughout the clubhouse were made in our Inchinnan factory including the impressive 9m first floor bar, which had to be made and transported in pieces and assembled on site, and cosy booths in the Canny Crow restaurant, and the bespoke shelving units in the pro shop and clubhouse foyer.
Our on-site team are extremely proud of the five star finishes throughout the development: having worked tirelessly over the past 18 months to bring our client’s ambitious vision to fruition and we wish the team at Dundonald Links the best of luck for their opening week!
