Sustainably Sourced Seafood Coming To Blythswood Square

The beautiful Bo & Birdy restaurant which we created at Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel will soon have a new name and a different menu.

iasg – the Scottish Gaelic word for fish, pronounced ‘ee-usk’ – opens on Monday 15th November 2021 with a new menu focused on celebrating Scotland’s finest seafood.

The stunning centrepiece of the restaurant will continue to be the turquoise shell island bar which was created by our Manufactured Joinery division.  It was painstakingly finished with green fish scale tiles and crowned with a marble bar top.  The design will be particularly fitting given the new cuisine which will be served.

The restaurant will definitely be worth a visit – not only because of the talented team and exceptional interiors, but also because £1 from every bill will be donated to The Firth of Forth Lobster Hatchery, a conservation and educational charity and the only operating hatchery in Scotland, working to repopulate lobster stocks at North Berwick harbour.

We wish the hotel the best of luck with their new venture, and we’re sure it’ll be the ‘plaice’ to go!
