Due to its impressive size, the central bookcase in the Virgin Hotels, Edinburgh’s Funny Library had to be supported with a steel structure to ensure the stability of the piece.

Made from Poplar veneered FR MDF and Poplar hardwood, the bookcase panels were stained to match existing panelling elsewhere in the library.

These images from on site show the sheer scale of the piece which measures 4m in height x 3m in length. The central bookcase is just one of many stunning pieces our manufacturing division made for the new 5-star hotel.
