Having completed a number of past projects within the hotel, our Small Works division were asked to return to the voco Grand Central Hotel to complete the refurbishment of several guest roomss.

The works on site were supported by our Manufacturing team at our in-house facility who created several items for the rooms including headboards, tables, wardrobes and bedside units.

The table bases pictured were constructed with MDF formers and uprights with flexi-ply cladding to create their round shape.  They were then stained black & lacquered with a 10% sheen in our Paint Shop.

The headboards are made from oak veneered MDF, edge-banded in our Machine Shop and finished with upholstered central panels. For added functionality and guests’ convenience, the overhead lights, switches and additional plugs are mounted directly onto the headboards.

We hope guests of this iconic Glasgow building enjoy these newly refurbished rooms for many years to come.
