Manufacturing Monday: When Beauty Meets Function

Our team has recently completed a project for our healthcare client’s new location, where we created unique pieces for the main reception and first floor entrance. The project involved developing existing architectural drawings and building 2No reception desks and a large section of wall panelling that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

One of the reception desks is clad in dual-toned Hi-Macs and Corian, which creates a stunning visual impact. The smaller of the two desks also features a back-lit CNC cut logo, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design. The other reception desk is fully clad in stone, which not only looks elegant but is also highly durable and long-lasting.  This desk needed additional structural support, as seen in the images below, to take the weight of the stone.

The large wall panelling unit is another standout feature of the project. The wall feature includes a mid-section and surround made from the same Aurora Butter Cream Hi-Macs as the reception desk which sits in front of it. Clad in oak veneer, the wall unit serves both a functional and decorative purpose: it provides hidden storage space while enhancing the overall design of the space.

Having worked previously with this client in their other clinics, we are proud to have created these unique pieces and believe that our attention to detail and commitment to quality has resulted in a beautiful and functional space.
