Manufactured Joinery at Thomas Johnstone

The team at our TJL workshop consistently crafts custom-built pieces for a variety of projects, and we love to take a sneak peek before they’re finalised.

– This solid oak headboard, with a durable half-lap mitred corner, is being built for the sample room of a new hotel. These have the sleek appearance of a mitred end with the additional strength of a half lap.

– Credenza unit with a black stone top; cut out on the stone to encase an ice bucket was made for an existing hospitality client.

– Wardrobe doors, fresh from the Paint Shop, have been sprayed with a dark stain and will be finished with Italian glass inserts.

– Radius ceiling feature, made with European oak veneered MDF and flexi-ply will hang in the reception area of a new Glasgow office building.

We take pride in combining traditional and modern techniques when creating bespoke joinery pieces for clients, and with over 150 years in the industry, we’re experts at providing advice on chosen materials application.

At Thomas Johnstone, we put people first. Working with a variety of existing clients to upgrade beautiful spaces enables us to have a strong pre-existing relationship that allows for exciting collaboration. We’re always keen for new and exciting manufactured joinery projects that we can lend our specialist hand to using crafted tangible furniture to capture the essence of a space.

Follow along to see what the glimpse at the below pieces look like once installed in their new home.
