TJL’s in-house manufacturing division played a key role in creating bespoke elements for this exciting new leisure resort outside of Edinburgh. Working closely with our client, our Core project team and the wider Design team, we made sure that each piece was designed with the guest experience in mind, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal.
The Snug
Constructed from stained Wisa Spruce, this feature area incorporates hanging pendant lighting, built-in bench seating, and a log-burning stove. The feature is made up of over 130 parts and was first built in our 30,000 sq ft specialist manufactured joinery facility to ensure each piece fits together perfectly before being sent to be reconstructed on site.
Cafe Bar
Our specialist team also created a curved bespoke cafe bar with a Corian worktop, tiled front and black laminate internal units.
Retail Fixtures
We also created some bespoke fixtures, including column surrounds in Canteen and retail units, including one with a removable pegboard front panel from the same materials as the snug. This unit can be used for staff storage or as a display unit, adding flexible practicality and charm to the resort’s retail offerings.
