Thomas Johnstone has a long-standing relationship with Santander UK. Our team has delivered annual retail refurbishment projects for Santander UK for nearly two decades.
When Santander embarked on a national rebranding and retail refurbishment programme across the UK, we were awarded a large proportion of their rebranding work, as we have extensive experience in conducting full and partial branch refurbishments to strict brand standards within tight timeframes.

Successful Retail Refurbishments
Central to the success of the branch rebranding programme is ensuring that Santander maintains business continuity during opening hours. To facilitate this, TJL has developed a methodology for working in sections of the branches that enables customers to access the necessary services, with safety and privacy at the forefront. When required, TJL has carried out work outside of regular branch hours.
Collaborative Working
Working in line with our client’s brand standards, the project is a collaboration between TJL’s Small Works, Building Services, Decorating, and Manufactured Joinery divisions to provide the client with a ‘one-stop-shop’ solution that guarantees quality, cost, and programme certainty.
We continue to work in partnership with Santander UK on a rolling refurbishment programme throughout the country, with several retail refurbishments scheduled to be completed in 2025.
