Our works on the Dundonald Links re-development were threefold: the new-build construction of the two storey clubhouse with restaurant, bar, pro-shop, changing facilities and gym; ground works and installation of 18 new luxury, modular lodges and 22 hotel-style rooms; and an extension to and internal fit-out of the Facilities Management Support Building and associated external works.

Dundonald Links is a perfect example of TJL’s ability to work in partnership throughout our supply chain to achieve the best outcomes for our client: starting with a small amount of initial planning drawings at appointment, we undertook detailed cost planning, market tendering and supply chain appointment and completed construction all within an 18 month period. Our experience and expertise in construction, manufactured joinery and high quality fit-out assisted in numerous aspects of value engineering to deliver cost and value benefit.

Environmental sustainability was central to all activities at Dundonald Links; the excellent relationships our team established on site lead to the project being awarded a ‘Good Practice Award’ from the VIBES Environment Business Awards 2020. The award was given in recognition for our collaborative approach to the environmental sustainability of the project including considering how best to maintain and enhance the natural landscapes and conserve existing wildlife.

Even prior to opening, Dundonald Links received rave reviews from those fortunate enough to experience pre-stays and experience the development before the general public. The feedback amongst the golfing community is that Dundonald now has the five star facilities that the course deserves.
