Lost Shore Surf Resort, one of Scotland’s most exciting new attractions, has set a new standard for eco-friendly and innovative leisure destinations. Working alongside the main development contractor, we brought our expertise in construction, internal fit-out, and bespoke joinery to the development.

Hub A – Canteen

The resort’s culinary and social epicentre is home to seasonally rotating guest kitchens, an indoor snug and front-row seats to the waves. This steel-framed structure showcases an industrial aesthetic, with exposed beams and a unique exterior painted to resemble aged copper. TJL completed the steel frame erection, cement board installation, and fitting of external doors, windows, and curtain walling.

Hub B – Reception & Retail Space

Hub B houses the resort’s reception, retail and relaxation spaces. Constructed from a timber kit frame, we also completed the full interior fit-out, including erecting internal partitions, wall linings, M&E services installation, and decoration works such as wall finishes and hardwood flooring to this building.

Hub C – Changing Facilities

The third main building within our scope houses the development’s changing rooms, showers, and toilets. Prioritising practicality and durability, the interior was constructed with wet wall finishes and a damp-proof membrane beneath the flooring to ensure resilience in high-traffic areas.

Wavegarden Cove & Control Tower

Beyond the main hubs, our site team constructed seven ancillary buildings, including plant facilities and the wave pool control tower. We were also delighted to collaborate with Wavegarden engineers to construct the housing for the state-of-the-art Wavegarden Cove® technology. This innovative system is one of only ten installations of its kind in the world.
From constructing and fitting out the development’s main hub buildings to working alongside Wavegarden engineers and building the housing for the wave machine, TJL’s contributions extended across significant aspects of this development, showcasing their unparalleled craftsmanship and commitment to quality. Our Manufactured Joinery division also created a number of bespoke items for this project – read more about their handcrafted work here.
