We created a fun and unique retail concept within the confines of a landmark property, formerly an iconic hardware and ironmongery store, on Edinburgh’s George Street for British fashion and lifestyle brand White Stuff.
Our works commenced with general downtakings, including the protection and preservation of existing features. This was followed by a number of structural alterations incorporating a large glazed skylight an atrium at the heart of the store with openings at ground, first, second and roof level, a structural support for a feature tree at basement level, and an enlarged lift pit, all with associated services.
Our factory design developed, manufactured and installed a selection of custom items to fit with the desired theme. The bespoke pieces included a sweet store cash and wrap, Narnia-style changing booths with a range of quirky themes, and beautiful reproduction balustrades.
We delivered an exciting multi-storey retail experience which matched the style of the brand whilst not compromising on the functionality required from the space.
