Located on Ingram Street in Glasgow’s Merchant City, this project required the precise programming and close co-ordination of a wide range of specialist sub-contractors (including extensive M and E installations) to form a unique 188 cover, sushi and teppenyaki restaurant.
The tight confines of the site presented their own challenges, with a steel mezzanine installed to house the vast mechanical services required to meet stringent building control regulations in relation to the teppenyaki grills themselves. Close liaison with adjoining premises, clear communication regarding deliveries, and transparency with the local council all contributed to its success.
With design input to on both buildability and in relation to manufactured finishes, we acted as an integral part of the design team to help the client realize their very specific vision for this property by sourcing unusual materials and in their subsequent processing and incorporation into bespoke manufacturing.
