Skyhub, Glasgow Airport

Developing our existing relationship with BAA, to form a state-of-the-art airport terminal with associated security screening measures.

Building on the successes of Phase II at Glasgow Airport, we were appointed as Principal Contractor on this high profile project for BAA.

The project was carried out in three separate areas within a fully operational airport environment. The areas were; Domestic Search, International Search and North Mall.

Following the demolition of the domestic search area, a new passenger corridor and restaurant outlet was formed. Simultaneously, the International Search Area was demolished to make way for ten linked retail units and an increased public circulation space within the International Departure Lounge. Finally, the North Mall was given a face lift by the means of new bulkheads to conceal exposed services, a series of aluminium and fabric ‘fins’ and an enhanced lighting scheme.
