Tune Hotel
Edinburgh

Refurbishment and fit out of existing multi storey office block into the first offering of the Tune Hotel brand in Scotland.

This project was born out of the successful completion of an earlier project with the same design team and led to the refurbishment and redevelopment of an existing multi storey office block in the heart of Haymarket, Edinburgh. The works comprised of the design and development of an outline scheme followed by, strip out of internal layouts, new roof coverings, external windows and curtain walling, new stone façades, external single storey reception area extension and full internal fit including M&E installations to form a new 179 bed Tune brand hotel.

Working in close conjunction with the design team and client to ensure that the newly refurbished building fully satisfied this new hotel brand we over came site restrictions such as restricted narrow access to the rear of the building, no access via the front elevation due to the on going tram works and no access via each gable elevation due to the site being land locked. This coupled with the need to fully function over 7 storeys posed the site team with many complex issues, that were all successfully over come.
