Manufacturing Monday: World Sleep Day
Friday (15th March) was World Sleep Day: an annual celebration of sleep and an important call to action on the importance of getting enough sleep
It also got us thinking about all the fantastic bedroom headboards and other casegoods our Manufactured Joinery department has made over the years.
Our past refurbishment projects have enabled hundreds of thousands of travellers to rest their weary heads in newly created or refreshed rooms with items made in our in-house manufactured joinery facility.
The World Sleep Society has set out 10 Tips for Better Sleep:
- Establish a regular bedtime and waking time
- Allow yourself to take a nap if tired, but do not exceed 45 minutes of daytime sleep
- Avoid excessive alcohol ingestion 4 hours before bedtime & do not smoke
- Avoid caffeine 6 hours before bedtime
- Choose a bedtime snack that won’t disrupt your sleep
- Exercise regularly, but not right before bed
- Use comfortable, inviting bedding
- Find a comfortable sleep temperature and keep the room well ventilated
- Block out all distracting noise and eliminate as much light as possible
- Avoid hanging out in your bed.
