Project Completion: Hotel Indigo Dundee

We were delighted to be the main contractors on the project to create a new bar area within this boutique hotel: Eighteen22.

Named to mark the building’s opening year, TJL’s Small Works, Manufactured Joinery, and Decorating divisions came together to carry out the works.

The project involved demolishing existing internal walls to open the space before the refurbishment could begin. Our team also manufactured and installed a bespoke oak veneered bar with a Caesarstone top, metal bar back gantry, wall panelling and sliding door to the new snug area. New flooring and lighting were also installed, along with paint and bespoke jute wallpaper, another nod to the building’s past.

The new space opened over the Easter weekend, to the delight of our client. Manny Barber, General Manager of the Indigo Hotel, said, “We couldn’t ask for more: discreet, professional, and fully respectful of our operating standards.  In terms of the project, communication has been faultless, and the team absolutely adhered to what they said they were going to do by when, within the budget agreed. We now have a completed beautiful hotel lobby bar/lounge and possible future projects with TJs in discussion.”
