8 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh

Our Small Works division recently completed the refurbishment of an ‘A’ listed townhouse in Edinburgh’s Charlotte Square: part of The Charlotte Square Collection.

Charlotte Square is made up of historic townhouses which were built in the 1800s around a private garden and were one of the city’s most affluent areas. A focal point within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, we have carried out refurbishment works in a number of the buildings within The Charlotte Square Collection in addition to this project including 24-25 Charlotte Square.

Working within listed properties requires careful planning and execution to ensure that historic elements of the building are retained while updates are being carried out.  We work closely with all members of the project team in order to ensure that all necessary works are carried out sympathetically to the buildings original features. The refurbishment of 8 Charlotte Square took place throughout the building’s 6No floors; creating a total of 5,232 sq. ft. of new office accommodation.  Works carried out by our Small Works team included structural alterations, external fabric repairs, flooring and decoration.

The very grand offices are currently available to rent; we’re sure they would make very inspiring surrounds to work in!
