Enva Blantyre Concrete Pour

Fantastic progress being made by the TJL Small Works Team at Enva Blantyre with the Bio-Filter pipework installed ahead of this week’s second stage concrete pour.

As you will see a lot of detailed work is going into the concrete slab as we get ready for the Bio Filter equipment installation in the coming weeks.

Recognition for Ruairidh at Glasgow Modern Apprentice Awards 2019!

Another excellent achievement for one of the TJL team, Ruairidh Clark, our 4th year joinery apprentice who has been awarded a Certificate of Recognition from The Trades House of Glasgow at this year’s Glasgow Modern Apprentice Awards 2019.

Ruairidh’s apprenticeship journey has taken him on a slightly unexpected route as two years into his apprenticeship he had an unfortunate accident outside work in which he broke a leg, forcing him to take time off from factory work. Having worked hard proving his commitment, enthusiasm and dedication to his apprenticeship, Michael Hillman,
our Manufacturing Manager, offered Ruairidh the opportunity to return to work as a trainee in Setting Out and he was delighted to accept.

Ruairidh continues to thrive in this trainee position and while his task load and daily operations have shifted quite dramatically he will qualify in August with a broadened skillset beyond joinery thanks to his unique experience.

Well done Ruairidh!
